What is Astec?
ASTEC is modern technology. It is a fluid applied roof.
Multiple layers of superior reinforcement, corrosion inhibitors, weaterproofing, and durable top finished. Restores leaking metal, asphalt, mod-bit, EPDM, and other single-ply substrates to better than original performance. Often tiomes, you can avoid the high cost of tearing off your roof to replace it.
Evans Roofing is an ASTEC authorized contractor.
What are the advantages of using Astec ?
Installation Savings: Can save costs of roof replacement and facility downtime.
All-Climate Stability: Re-Ply™ surfaces retain their flexible, watertight superiority in hot or cold, wet or dry extremes.
A Solar Shield: Ceramic and titanium-based surface has 1superior resistance to U.V. degradation.
Energy Savings: Surpasses reflectivity requirements for the Energy Star label, while maximizing quicker heat emissivity and dissipation.
A Wind Breaker: Astec Re-Ply’s provide a windshield with its strong, seamless, weathertight roofing surface.
Thermal Protection: Tough, durable, heat and combustion protection; Class A fire rated.
Maintenance Savings: Reduces thermal shock damage: remains watertight over many substrates.
A Corrosion Barrier: Virtually impervious to ocean spray, acid rain, other contaminants.
A 10-Year Renewable Warranty: The durability of our waterproof protection is sustainable and guaranteed — in writing — for labor and materials.

How can you tell your roof qualifies for an Astec Re-Ply system?
Our experts will come and assess your roof for a Re-Ply solution. Among the factors they will look for are:
- Separating Seams and Joints
- Metal Rust Corrosion
- Multiple Penetrations
- Failing Boots and flashing
- Loose fasteners
- Substrate failure caused by cracking, spliutting, chalking
- Failing repairs
- Drains with hidden problems.
What types of roofs qualify for Astec Re-Ply ?
1 – Metal Roofs
These are composed of lapped sheets and fasteners that are highly susceptible to corrosion, wind lift, and loosening from thermal shock damage leading to constant repair and eventually costly replacement.
Metal Roof are prime candidates for an ASTEC Re-P_ly conversion. When complete, the new seamless roof will be wind and watertight with thermal shock resistance, and sustainable, non-corrosive properties.
Metal roofs are restored, cleaned and professionally converted to Astec Te-Ply roofs, using premium products and proven procedures.
2 – Single Ply Roofs
Single-Ply roofs are sheets attached to a subsurface and are susceptible to heat and UV degradation, chalking, shrinking, and separating leanding to expensive repair and costly replacement.
Single-ply roofs are with sound underlayment and good adhesion can be readily converted to an ASTEC Re-pLy roof. When complete, the new seamless surface will be wind and watertight while reflecting damaging sunrays for a cooler building and longer-lasting roof.
Single-ply roofs are restored, cleaned and converted to ASTEC Re-PLy Roofs, using premium products and proved procedures.
3 – Asphalt Roofs
Asphalt roofing, modified bitumen, or rolled roofing are susceptible to heat and UV degradation, splitting, and cracking leading to constant repair and costly replacement.
Asphalt roofs with sound underlayment, and repairable substrates can be converted to ASTEC Re-Ply roofs. When complete, the new seamless surface will be wind and watertight while reflecting damaging sun rays for a cooler building and longer-lasting roofs.
Asphalt roofs are restored, cleaned and professionally converted to ASTEC Re-Ply roofs, using premium products and proven procedures.
How is it installed?
Pressure wash the old roof surface to eliminate loose material, repair substrate, blisters, and cracks as needed.
Reinforce all roof, vent, duct, and flashing seams and laps with high tensile strength polyester cloth and tape. Saturate with the appropriate ASTEC Base Sealer
Prime and Seal Surface
Flow on one or two layers of the appropriate ASTEC Base Sealer. This bonding sealer applies as a fluid, filling all cracks, and curing as a seamless, pliable membrane over the entire roof.
Apply Core Layer
Flow on the first layer of the appropriate ASTEC Re-Ply Finish. It will bond with the ASTEC Base Sealer and provide a monolithic core base for the final roof surface.
Apply Surface Layer
Flow on the final ASTEC Re-Ply Finish layer. The new roof surface will be a seamless, titanium white ply of a highly reflective roofing that is waterproof, pliable, and virtually impervious to airborne corrosives over years of hostile environmental conditions.
